Not far from where I live there is a queer old empty wooden house standing all by itself on the side of the road.

queer : strange; odd.

내가 사는 곳에서 멀지 않은 길가에 홀로 서 있는 이상하고 낡은 빈 목조 주택이 있다.

A few moments later, a white porcelain lavatory pan with the wooden seat still on it came flying

lavatory pan : the part inside a lavatory containing water and fitted with a water-flushing device and connected to a drain.

잠시 후, 나무 의자가 놓인 변기가 날아왔다.



because now pieces of staircase and bits of the banisters and a whole lot of old floorboards came whistling through the windows.

banister : the structure formed by the uprights and handrail at the side of a staircase.

이제 계단 조각들과 난간 조각들, 그리고 많은 오래된 마루 판자들이 창문을 통해, 휘파람 소리를 내며 날라 왔기 때문이다.

This question baffled me a bit

bod : INFORMAL. a body or physique. / BRITISH. a person.

나는 정말 배고픈 몸이야!



the beak I was standing in jiggled madly up and down

jiggle : move about lightly and quickly from side to side or up and down.

내가 서 있었던 곳,  펠리컨의 부리가 미친 듯이 위아래로 흔들렸다.

A walnut fresh from the tree is scrumptious-galumptious, so flavory-savory,

scrumptious : INFORMAL. (of food) extremely tasty; delicious.
“galumptious” : when you’ve been starving for a few days & finally have a meal, it’s described as “galumptious”
savory : full of flavor, delicious and tasty

나무에서 갓 따온 호두는 맛이 아주 좋고, 풍미 있고,



a huge white Rolls-Royce pulled up right below us,

pull up : (of a vehicle) come to a halt.

거대한 흰색 롤스로이스 차가 우리 바로 아래에 멈추어 섰다.

whoopee : a loud, excited shout of happiness

원숭이는 "후우!"라고 소리쳤다.

"Damnation!" shouted the Duke.

Damnation : exclamation used to express exasperation or disgust

prance : to walk or dance in an energetic way, with high, kicking steps.

The Duke was staggered. He reeled back and his eyes popped nearly out of their sockets.

staggered : very shocked or surprised.
reel : (also reel back) to step backwards suddenly and almost fall over, especially after being hit or getting a shock.

공작은 비틀거렸다. 그는 뒤로 비틀거렸고, 그의 눈은 거의 눈구멍에서 튀어나올 뻔했다.

bounder : a dishonorable man.

I'll feed his gizzards to my foxhounds!

gizzard : INFORMAL. a person's stomach or throat.

그놈의 멱을 따서 내 여우 사냥개들에게 먹일 거야!



bellowed the Duke, his massive moustaches bristling like brushwood.

bellow : (of a person or animal) emit a deep loud roar, typically in pain or anger.

공작은 그의 거대한 콧수염이 덤불처럼 곤두서며 소리쳤다.



I'll handle the blighter!

blighter : a disliked or contemptible person.

내가 이 놈을 처리할거야!

ransack : to search a place or container in a violent and careless way.

immediately the policemen pounced upon the burglar who was crouching inside.

pounced upon : to spring or swoop upon someone or something.

즉시 경찰은 안에 웅크리고 있던 도둑에게 달려들었다.

"My chauffeur will soon put a patch over it the same way he mends the tyres on the Rolls."

mend : repair (something that is broken or damaged).
tyre : a thick rubber ring, often filled with air, that is fitted around the outer edge of the wheel of a vehicle.

내 운전기사가 곧 롤스의 타이어를 수리하는 것과 같은 방식으로 그 위에 패치를 붙여 줄 거야.
