Gobblefunk is the language created by Roald Dahl to give the BFG his unique voice.

BFG가 사용하는 gobblefunk 중 grob- 및 trog- 로 시작하는 단어는 불쾌한 것을, 

phizz-로 시작하는 단어는 유쾌함을 의미합니다.

The Witching Hour


she lean out of the window to see what the world looked like now that the witching hour was at hand.

at hand : close in time; about to happen.

gush : to flow forcefully and rapidly.
glistening : shining with a sparkling light.

glint : a tiny, quick flash of light.

He will drop me like a rasher of bacon into some gigantic frying-pan sizzling with fat.

rasher : a thin slice of bacon.
